Are they good nutes Its for outside it says it wont burn plants, there is a veg and bloom nutes for $5.99,and $8.99, qts one of each is like $15.00 seems worth it..... i can use them on roses if the plants dont like them.. The fish fertilizer is 5-1-1, and the Mor bloom is 0-10-10.. I heard good things about it for roses but for plants its rare to hear about it

i think quite a few people use fish emulsion etc. with good results. Native Americans regularly used fish to fertilize crops. id stick with it outdoors though, can be kinda smelly check out the Organics threads, probably some info there good luck SJ

I've used their fish emulsion for veg and I liked it, foliage was lush. It is slower than synthetics. It didn't smell while using it like some ppl claim...however, if you leave it premixed unstirred it will smell, but so will synthetics when they get old. Morebloom isn't all organic though, I think. Search the forums we've talked about it before. The brand is really affordable and available at wal-mart.

I also got the Alaska all purpose plant food 9-4-4 in powder form. Derived from dried hydolyzed fish, blood meal, bone meal, sulfate of potash, ferrous carbonate. Has anyone tried this stuff before? If so, when would be the best time to use it? During veg?

| How often did you use the stuff HG_C? It says once every three weeks, but can you use it more often without adverse effects?

Man, this fish emulsion is freakin THICK. It was like wet mud coming out of the jug. The smell from the gallon jug wasn't especially bad. It smelled like ass, but I was expecting worse. When I mixed it up, though, it started to stink less of ass and more of fish ass. This morning when I got up to check the plants, the whole growing area stunk of rotten fish. I just kept telling myself "This is what the plants like. This is what the plants like..."

| I think I was feeding it every other watering, w/ bad PH too. LOL Yo digital, you found the Alaskan brand(veg) stunk? You might have more taste buds on your tongue than mine(some ppl do). I was watering in fabric/breathable bags too. I mixed then fed right after and didn't smell much. I grew up on the water and ate fish for breakfast for many years, I even like Canadian herring(sardines) and Italian(real sardines) ...I may be desensitize to fish oils.

| I'm all about the sardines, bro! I like how they actually dissolve when you cook em in oil. But yeah, it stunk a bit, but only after I mixed it up. Right out of the jug it wasn't really that bad. It was actually at its worst about 4 hours after I fed the babies last night. Go figure. I've seen that some people use the fish emulsion at every watering. Any comments from the experienced on that?

This subject is covered well in the organic forum, yes you can achieve awesome results from organics, there cheap too. But the techniques used are different. Youll depend on tiny forms of life such as beneficial bacteria and fungi as well, you take care of the soil/medium and that takes care of your plant assuming you have a sufficient environment. But this is something that the native people have been doing for thousands of years, its old school and i think HIGHGRADE gets down like that? But like i said check out the organic section
